Looks like the Cromwell Valley Community Association is holding their county councilman's feet to the fire, requesting support toward keeping BG&E accountable for their promises....

Dear Councilman McIntire;
In regard to our dispute with BGE regarding deforestation along Cromwell Bridge Rd:
I'm sure you are aware that our State Senators were unsuccessful in passing legislation to regulate BGE/Constellation tree cutting practices. During the Senate hearings, BGE/Constellation officials promised mitigation for Cromwell Bridge Rd. I have been in contact with forester Bill Rees and he has notified us that the environmental impact study has been completed. Though he advised that we would be receiving a copy of the study prior to a stakeholders meeting it has been difficult to pin him down to dates. It has been three weeks since my initial contact with him and after subsequent conversations we still have no definite time line. We feel they are blowing us off in celebration of their regulatory freedom. Just listen to their latest commercials.
Our group has been working diligently on a comprehensive revegetation plan and we are ready to meet with all stakeholders to try to come to a mutual agreement.
Mr. Rees claims that BGE Public Affairs Dept. has been trying to make contact with local officials to set up meeting dates to resolve these issues. We are curious to know if anyone from their Company has contacted you or has sent a copy of the environmental impact study to your office.
This may be an excellent time to further discuss the possibility of a M.O.U. between the County and BGE. We would be happy to assist you in your efforts with regard to this as previously discussed.
We would appreciate hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you,
Andrea Huppert Soukup
