About Me: I am President of the Cromwell Bridge Rd. Comm. Assn., Baltimore Co. I and my group have been actively involved in a dispute with BGE's tree cutting practices in our area. We were able to halt BGE's clear cutting of Cromwell Bridge Rd. (scenic byway) until an environmental impact study could be performed (at their expense). We were instumental in working with several State Senators to try to enact legislation to regulate BGE's Vegetation Management Practices.

What is the focus of your passion around this issue?: Our dispute with BGE will continue until we have a revegetaion plan to mitigate some of the devastation imposed on Cromwell Bridge Rd. BGE has promised mitigation in front of the Senate during the hearings that we attended. Our goal is to hold them to their word and to not back down until we have a legally binding written agreement for re-planting this corridor. We will also notify the media whenever appropriate to keep the pressure on BGE and our local officials and to keep the public aware of these actions. With the lack of any new legislation at the State level we will encourage the County Coucil to create a MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) to regulate Utility Tree cutting practices in environmentally sensitive areas.
